Ways and Means strips ARPA interest, EDIF and non‑Regents items from House Bill 2,007

At a Senate Ways and Means committee meeting, senators approved a series of amendments to House Bill 2,007 that remove several funding line items inserted by the House and reallocate the Senate’s negotiating position. Committee members voted to: remove ARPA interest line items in HB 2,007 except for Dole State Office Building funding (a subtraction the motion said totaled $47,963,748); remove Economic Development Initiative Fund (EDIF) items for FY 2026 totaling $44,668,280; and remove from the bill any items that were not requested by the Kansas Board of Regents.

The motions were introduced during committee consideration of HB 2,007.
