Council reviews more than 30 property transfers to Greater Syracuse Land Bank, holds several at owners' request

Jordan said staff were asking the council to hold those items to give owners time to complete tax-trust or closing steps.
Councilors asked for additional records checks and said they would notify staff on Monday about any additional holds they intended to place. Jordan said staff would continue outreach to property owners and provide updates. For one property, 204 Carbon Street, the tax-trust application was denied due to no response from the owner and the owner's inability to assemble a down payment, Jordan said.
