Board opens and closes public hearing on SSDS report; district reports 18 incidents in first half of school year

In addition, staff said that since the board's previous meeting there were three HIB investigations and that those three were determined to be unfounded.
A board resolution opened the public hearing on the SSDS report; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. The board subsequently closed the hearing and approved the SSDS report as part of a personnel and policy consent motion.
Why it matters: The SSDS report is the district's mechanism for reporting incidents to the state and for documenting how schools investigate and respond to allegations of harassment, intimidation and bullying. Confirmed HIB findings and removals have implications for building-level strategies, student supports and state monitoring.
