"The request is for approval of the SPLOST distribution for the Nezda farm from the 2021 SPLOST farmland protection project, including budget amendment approval in the amount of $100,000 and authorize the chairman to execute the necessary doc," a staff speaker said.
A county official praised Russ Page, saying he helped start the farmland-preservation effort years earlier. Commissioners indicated the item would be handled on the consent agenda; no roll-call vote on the distribution is recorded in the transcript.
