Oakland County committee backs legal lake level for Clarkston Mill Pond

The Oakland County Economic Development Committee voted to recommend that the county establish a legal lake level for Clarkston Mill Pond in response to a petition from residents.
County lake-level engineer Ryan Wersherkow told the committee the recommendation follows a two-year study funded by a state grant and a petition in which “the residents are in favor. They’re more than 70 in favor of moving forward the legal lake level.” He said the county has prepared the materials needed to file the matter in court to formally set the lake level.
