Greer โ The Greer City Council voted to approve second and final reading of Ordinance 6-2025, rezoning a parcel owned by Calvary Road Independent Baptist. The parcel had been split-zoned with portions designated medium-density residential and rural residential; the ordinance makes the entire parcel medium-density residential to facilitate future residential development.
Planning staff told the council the request was intended to support future residential development and carried recommendations of approval from both staff and the planning commission. The council had previously discussed the item at length at an earlier meeting, the presenter noted, and no new substantive changes were brought forward at second reading.
The motion to receive second and final reading passed with affirmative votes recorded from Mayor Danner and councilmembers Arrowood, Booker, Dumas, Bettis and Albert. No amendments or conditions were recorded at the time of adoption.
