District project staff updated the Quarry County Board of Education on Feb. 25 that construction work on the middle school is in its final stages and that a final certificate of occupancy (CO) is expected once remaining paperwork is received.
The superintendent said a state building inspector signed off on key components during a Monday walkthrough and that the middle-school architect and project managers will perform a final punch-list walkthrough later in the week. The district expects to receive roughly $48,000 back from contingency funds that had been set aside for DPOs but were not used.
Staff said one emergency light issue remains; controls are expected to arrive and repairs should be completed the following day. No formal action was required of the board during the update.
