The Seaman USD 345 Board of Education awarded a contract to KCAV for a lights-and-sound renovation project covering the middle school and Seaman High School auditorium spaces.
Administration described the procurement process: two bids were received; one bidder’s submittal did not meet specification requirements and was disallowed. KCAV’s bid included full scope, and administration recommended acceptance with alternates for additional wireless microphones and a band-room recording system. The total recommended amount including alternates 1 and 2 is $398,005.48.
Board members noted the work had been under discussion for more than a year and expressed support for moving forward. A motion to award the contract to KCAV including alternates 1 and 2 passed on a voice vote. Administration said work will proceed on the construction schedule and coordination with building programs.
