Daggett County approves $367,934.93 in open invoices; reimbursement and disbursement listings also accepted

The Daggett County Commission on Jan. 7 accepted the county cash summary and aging report and approved an open invoice register dated Jan. 7, 2025, with standard invoices totaling $367,934.93.

The move to acknowledge the cash summary and aging report passed on a voice vote. Commissioners later approved the open invoice register after discussion about two large bills within that total: $211,057.55 tied to the recent water treatment work and a Forest Service trails payment of about $97,000. The commission also approved a separate reimbursement register for Dec. 22, 2024, to Jan. 4, 2025, in the amount of $68.24 and a disbursement listing for the period ending Jan. 7, 2025. The disbursement listing amount was discussed on the record but not clearly transcribed in cents; the commission voted to approve it.

Commissioners noted the concentration of payments in a small number of large invoices. One commissioner characterized the open register as “one of the biggest ones we’ve done since I’ve been here,” and explained that the water-related invoices account for the majority of the total. County Attorney Kent Snyder and other staff were on hand during the discussion; Snyder said he would need to leave early for court but remained available for follow-up questions.

No commissioner identified a request to hold or delay any listed payment. The commission voted on each motion by voice; the minutes record multiple “Aye” responses and the clerk recorded the motions as carrying.

The approvals allow county staff to process the listed invoices and to proceed with the routine accounting and vendor payments tied to those registrations. The commission did not adopt additional budget amendments during the meeting.
