The maps, staff said, are based on updated fire modeling, local climate data and fire history. Town staff explained the next steps to the council: publish the maps for 30 days of public review, then adopt a local ordinance designating the zones within 120 days of transmittal. The town received the transmittal on February 10, staff said, which places the ordinance-adoption deadline at June 10.
