Wenatchee School Board approves consent agenda and 2025–26 student calendar

The Wenatchee School District Board of Directors approved its consent agenda and adopted the 2025–26 student calendar at its Feb. 25 regular meeting.
The consent agenda — which the board said had been distributed in advance and posted online — included minutes from the Feb. 11 regular meeting, vouchers and payroll, the personnel report, surplus declarations, contracts, field trips, and the December and February enrollment reports. Director Julian moved approval of the consent agenda; Director Maria seconded. The chair called the question: “All in favor, say aye.” The board voice‑voted in favor and the chair said the motion carried.
Later in the meeting the board considered the proposed student calendar for the 2025–26 school year. Director Maria moved to approve the calendar and Director Julie seconded. The motion passed by voice vote with all in favor. Board staff noted that, if the calendar requires a waiver of school days (as in prior years), the board will present that waiver resolution at a future meeting.
Why it matters: Approval of the consent agenda finalizes routine district business items and the calendar sets instructional days and aligned breaks for the next school year, which district staff said matches neighboring districts' spring breaks to support staff who work across districts.
