Presenters told Harrisburg City Council that the existing facility is dated, cramped and poses safety and operational problems. “Every system in the facility needs to be replaced,” a Rabbit Transit representative said, citing insufficient lighting, tight bus turning radii, no sprinkler system and repeated onsite collisions. Project architect Ken Anderson of Stantec described a campus design that would move bus circulation behind secure fencing, provide operator restrooms and a second‑floor training room, and accommodate future fleet transitions.
