Resident urges clearer noise‑control protocol; city to follow up

Council members and staff declined to have a back-and-forth during the public-comment period and told Ortiz they would take his contact information and follow up after the meeting. Officials said staff would discuss ordinance policies and enforcement protocol with the city attorney and the police department. No change to city policy or immediate enforcement action was recorded during the meeting.
Ortiz requested more clarity on the chain of response and whether non-emergency calls about noise receive follow-up visits from community service officers; officials said they would contact him to explain the process and options for enforcement or mediation.
