Board recognizes state-champion wrestlers and a student EMT who delivered a baby in a Morristown Medical Center parking lot

Superintendent and principals presented certificates to members of North Hunterdon's state champion wrestling team and honored a Voorhees student cadet EMT who assisted with a delivery in November.
The board opened its Feb. 25 meeting with recognitions. North Hunterdon High School staff brought forward seniors and other members of the boys wrestling team to honor the group's Group 4 state championship and Scotch Plains conference title; the superintendent and coaches highlighted the team's February victory at Rutgers and noted students advancing to individual state-level competition.
Voorhees High School also recognized a student, cadet EMT Drew Paducula, who in November assisted on scene and in the hospital parking lot with the delivery of a healthy baby boy. Paducula described the call and the delivery and said the mother and baby were later reported to be doing well. Board members and attendees applauded the students and presented certificates.
Those recognitions were followed by student representative reports and the regular administrator updates.
