District announces $106,770 in Go donations under state tax-credit program

Administrators said this year's total is about $90,000 more than the first year and that funds will be used for supplies, after-school programming, robotics and other school-specific needs. Staff noted the program offers tax credits (the district described it as a credit rather than a deduction) and that donors can designate one or more schools or program categories.
Board members and staff encouraged community members and local businesses to consider the program; staff said tax advisers and accountants in town have information for larger donors and that businesses can make larger contributions up to program limits.
