District reports finishing phases for several bond projects; barn kit ordered

The district plans to expand parking at Cherokee by moving a fence and adding a gravel lot; staff also said they have a quote to repaint the exterior of Cherokee to match a recently completed portion. The board gave permission to order a new electric marquee sign for the Performing Arts Center; staff said they expect to replace other signs districtwide in a single purchase to receive a discount.
For a new barn project, staff presented two contracts (construction management and guaranteed maximum price) and said the red iron kit has been ordered with an expected 8-to-10-week delivery; site prep is scheduled so erection can begin in May with a completion goal before the school year starts in August.
No action beyond informational updates was required on most items; the board had previously approved contract steps for the barn and related purchases.
