POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — The Pompano Beach City Commission on Feb. 25 approved a series of procurement agreements and ordinances and voted to postpone a controversial air‑park zoning text amendment until Sept. 9, 2025.
The commission approved a piggyback purchase from 108 Fire & Safety LLC for a Pierce/Enforcer 189‑foot pumper truck for $1,098,950. It approved piggyback agreements to install new meters and backflow devices (National Metering Services, Inc.), and to buy a hydraulic telescopic crane/boom truck (Alltech Industries, Inc.). The commission also approved a piggyback contract with Allen J Automotive Management Inc. for municipal light vehicles that staff said will include electric models identified in the capital outlay list.
On ordinances, the commission adopted a second reading to license Dania Pier Management Corp.…
