The Del City Council approved two administrative items on Feb. 3: a resolution declaring items listed in the agenda exhibit A (from the former library) as surplus to the city's needs and authorizing the city manager to determine final disposition, and a separate motion to ratify abatement assessment costs totaling $6,273.16 for property cleanups performed under the city code.
During the abatement discussion the clerk read property owner names, addresses and assessment totals on the record; staff completed the roll call and council members voted to ratify the assessments. Council recorded unanimous aye votes on both motions.
The council authorized the city manager to proceed with final disposition of surplus property and directed staff to apply assessed amounts to the listed properties per the city code.
