Georgia Association of Conservation Districts briefs committee on master farmer program and feral hog control

We represent the state's 40 soil and water conservation district supervisors," Katie Sponberger, executive director of the Georgia Association of Conservation Districts, told the committee. She said the organization works with local districts to conserve natural resources and is pursuing a master farmer program in partnership with state entities.
Sponberger said GACD has partnered with Will Bentley and Jake Tinch of the Georgia Agribusiness Council on advocacy and hopes to implement the master farmer program with state partners. She also flagged ongoing work to enhance the association's feral hog control program.
