A district construction update briefed the board on the status of several capital projects under way across the Clover School District.
Project staff reported that the Clover High School field house is occupied for classes, lockers have been installed and laundry and wrestling facilities are being outfitted. The fine-arts wing at Clover High has its roof installed and crews are moving to interior work now that the structure is being dried in.
At the Liberty Hill Elementary School site, crews have begun pouring foundations and continued work on a service road; staff noted recent rain and standing water in some foundation excavations have slowed progress. The contractor has encountered rock at the foundation and sewer areas, and staff said they were monitoring the schedule and site remediation.
Work at Lake Valley High School (areas G and H academic wings and Area A gym) continues; project staff said decking and slab pours for second-floor levels were imminent and that the gym steel and associated athletic areas are progressing. The board was shown photographs of site progress and told weather had slowed but not halted work.
Project staff invited questions from the board and said they will return with further updates and additional visual materials next month.
