Commissioners approve updated license agreement for county mapping reports and parcel PDFs

Valley County commissioners on Feb. 24 authorized the county to enter a master license agreement with VertaGIS to update the county's parcel reporting software and maintain the county's public parcel-report PDF/report capability.
The assessor/IT staff explained the county's current reporting tool runs on an older Esri platform that is being phased out; third-party vendors producing parcel-report PDFs have updated their products and required a new license. The vendor (listed in packet materials as VerdigiS/Verta GIS) agreed to negotiate license terms to address concerns raised by the county prosecuting attorney's office.
Staff said the vendor agreed to the county's requested contract revisions and produced a tailored license agreement. The board moved and seconded to approve and sign the master license agreement with VertaGIS; the motion passed by unanimous vote.
County staff said the updated license will allow the parcel-report functionality to continue and ensure compatibility with the newer ArcGIS infrastructure.
