Commission approves three Kentucky Auction Academy courses for Tennessee instruction

The Tennessee Auctioneer Commission voted to approve three education courses submitted by Kentucky Auction Academy for delivery in Tennessee: a 16-hour bid-caller qualified education course, a 50-hour affiliate-auction qualified education course, and a classroom-style continuing education course.
Executive Director Roxanna Gamusio told commissioners that the documentation had been added to the commission’s files and that the vendor is a current provider; staff recommended the approvals to ensure records were complete. Commissioner Jeff Morris said the organization appeared "well equipped and knowledgeable enough to conduct such a education course," and confirmed the programs would be for Tennessee education.
Commissioner Jay White moved to accept the courses, a motion that was seconded and approved by voice vote. The commission approved all three items together. Staff said they will file the paperwork in the vendor records and continue routine oversight of education providers.
The approvals expand the roster of classroom-style training available to prospective and current auctioneers in Tennessee and formalize the Kentucky Auction Academy offerings in the commission’s files.
