Saratoga County—s Health and Human Services Committee on Feb. 4 approved an amendment to contracts with certain mental health providers to accept state-funded startup funding and ongoing OASIS state aid to support rehabilitation services, including a residential unit operated by RISE Housing and Support Services in Ballston Spa.
Rich Harris, covering for Commissioner Johnson, told the committee the resolution would authorize $217,000 in startup funding for a residential unit in Ballston Spa and establish a base of annual pass-through funding at $600,000 to support ongoing operations. "This resolution would authorize additional state aid as a pass through funding to RISE housing and support services. It's $217,000 of startup funding for a residential unit, located here in Balson Spa. And then it sets a base of annual funding at $600,000 that's anticipated to continue to be passed through, annually, to support that operation," he said.
A member moved the resolution and the committee approved it by voice vote with no recorded opposition. The resolution also amends the 2025 county budget in relation to the state funds.
