Texas Water Development Board seeks project pre-applications for SRFs and other programs; deadlines announced

A representative from the Texas Water Development Board told the GWAG that several funding and application windows are currently open and that utilities should prepare project information forms.
"We are currently accepting project information forms for both the state revolving funds, clean water and drinking water. Those are going to close the first Friday in March, which is March seventh of 2025," the TWDB representative said. He added that project information forms for the lead service line replacement program and the emerging contaminant program are due in April and that SWIFT app-bridge applications are due in February.
The nut graf: TWDB urged systems that may need construction or replacement funding to prepare pre-applications now to be considered for the state fiscal year 2026 funding round. The agency said it is finalizing rules for a new water-supply fund and will announce details once rules and board approvals are complete.
The presenter noted that the TWDB board currently has two members serving, one vacancy, and that staff are finalizing program rules and materials for the new water supply fund. Utilities interested in financial assistance were encouraged to contact TWDB and prepare SRF pre-applications before the listed deadlines.
