New Orleans docket issues multiple consent judgments, continues several hearings to March 21

The City of New Orleans heard a series of permit-related enforcement items and civil consent judgments at a Feb. 21 sales tax hearing, approving multiple consent judgments, granting continuances to allow the city to perfect service and dismissing one petition after a renewal addendum.

City representative Jasmine Vandy said the city sought continuances in multiple matters “to the March 21 docket” while staff attempts to locate updated addresses and perfect service. The hearing also recorded consent judgments with payment deadlines in several cases and a dismissal after a license-holder submitted a renewal addendum.

The matters are routine docket items handled by the Department of Safety and Permits. Vandy said the city was “still unable to affect service” on Kirkoff LLC doing business as Next to Nothing and asked the hearing to continue that matter to the March 21 docket so staff could obtain an updated address. The hearing officer granted the continuance.

In a separate case, the parties in Enville Club Bar LLC agreed to a consent judgment for $5,000 payable to the Department of Safety and Permits within 90 days; the judgment was entered on the record. The city also moved to continue D K B Group LLC’s matter to a later docket to allow the parties to resolve outstanding issues.
