The Public Arts Advisory Board was briefed that the city council approved final design changes to the walking-trails Phase 3 piece by artist Sunny Behan.
A staff member told the board that last-minute changes were made before the council presentation and that council approved the final design. The staff member said Behan removed arrow motifs from the piece, and that the mayor asked Behan to revise the antlers to ensure they did not clearly represent a specific species; the artist made those adjustments and council approved the design.
Board members received the update as a finalization of the council-approved design and did not propose further changes. The staff member supplied the board with the approved design for the record and noted the council’s sign-off.
