Council members said consolidating local elections with general elections is intended to increase turnout and reduce costs; the city attorney reported a notification cost of about $13,000 to carry out the change. The council also approved a streetlight fixture replacement agreement with Edison that staff estimated will save the city about $75,590 per year. The consent calendar items CC1 through CC15 were moved unanimously.
