Committee members noted that while the full implementation will require funding, the green pavement markings and “hash” approach markings are a lower-cost, visible measure that staff believes can be implemented with contracted striping work and coordination with Marion County (which performs striping in some areas).
Next steps: Public Works will update the vendor quote, prepare a draft budget request for the committee to review at the next meeting, and, if approved by the committee, forward the request to the City’s budget committee for consideration.
