Dozens of residents urged the City Commission on Feb. 19 to slow the review of a proposed Covenant House Florida shelter on West Oakland Park Boulevard and to fix what they called lapses in public notice and code enforcement.
The concerns were raised during the meeting’s public-comment period and at a prior Development Review Committee (DRC) meeting, where several speakers said they received little or no notice about the project and that required on-site signage had not been posted.
