At the Feb. 19 board meeting, Buildings & Grounds committee staff provided an update on the district’s due diligence for the proposed Market Street property acquisition.
Mister Hain said the district’s appraisal returned in line with expectations, vendors reviewed building equipment and the district received air-quality and asbestos testing results. He told directors the remaining item is cost data for renovation and updates required to make the building ready for the district’s planned use.
Hain said the reports can be shared with the board; he did not provide a timetable for final acquisition decisions pending cost estimates.
Two representatives from Schneider Electric attended the meeting to observe, and Hain welcomed them and noted they may present to the board at a later date.
