Board members and staff noted concerns with vehicles driving over lawn areas and said parking/storage in front of dwellings can violate town code when not on an approved pad or in a garage.
After discussion, the board concluded the submission did not justify an exception to the side-yard and parking requirements. The board’s rationale included neighborhood character and that similar structures in the area, while present, are not proof of compliance. The board invited the applicant to rework the plan and return if he wished.
Votes at the meeting recorded the motion to deny as approved. The board clerk recorded all votes as affirmative on the denial motion.
