The Arkansas City Commission on Feb. 20 approved a series of resolutions to accept state grant funding and buy equipment, authorized an engineering agreement for a bridge replacement and voted to remove a member of a local medical board.
City Manager Randy said the city will enter into Project Agreement No. 991-24 with the Kansas Department of Transportation for a CCLIP resurfacing project on U.S. 166; he said the grant amount is "up to $400,000." The resurfacing work will include a mill-and-overlay from Eighth Street West to the Arkansas River bridge, Randy said.
