At the close of a regular meeting, the Montebello Planning Commission elected Armando Medina as chair and Commissioner Lomeli as vice chair and approved minutes from the Jan. 7, 2025 meeting.
The commission followed its customary nomination and roll-call process. A nomination was made for Armando Medina to serve a one-year term as chair under the Montebello Municipal Code §2.4 0.03. The nomination was seconded; a roll-call vote recorded four yes votes and the motion passed.
A subsequent nomination and second for vice chair resulted in Commissioner Lomeli receiving a unanimous roll-call vote; the motion passed.
Earlier in the meeting the commission voted to approve the minutes of the Jan. 7, 2025 meeting. That motion was moved and seconded; a roll-call recorded three recorded yes votes and the motion passed.
The commission briefly thanked outgoing chairperson Morales for her leadership and completed a ceremonial exchange of the gavel before resuming regular business and adjourning the meeting. No additional formal actions were recorded on the reorganization items.
