The Moscow City Council set Aug. 4, 2025, as the public hearing date for the city’s fiscal year 2026 budget.
Bill Belknap told the council that Idaho code requires cities to notify the county of the budget hearing date no later than April 30 each year; staff asked the council to set the FY 2026 hearing date and to allow staff to file the required notification with the county auditor. Councilor Sandra moved to set the date and the motion was seconded and approved.
Council action: Motion to set Aug. 4, 2025, as the FY 2026 budget public hearing date passed by voice vote (Sandra — Aye; Gina — Aye; Bryce — Aye; Drew — Aye; Julia — Aye; Hailey — Aye). Staff will return the completed budget-hearing notification form to the Latah County auditor’s office as required by state law.
