Kaysville council and staff hold workshop; infrastructure, downtown and connectivity emerge as top priorities

Kaysville city leaders and staff held an informal strategic‑planning workshop where participants emphasized long‑term infrastructure maintenance, preserving and enhancing downtown character, and improving citywide connectivity as the priorities to guide work over the next five years.

The workshop opened with staff materials from previous planning efforts and a series of table‑talk exercises. A staff member read aloud the city’s mission and vision statements distributed as handouts; the vision was summarized for participants as a short statement about preserving small‑town character while supporting infrastructure, parks and fiscal responsibility. Public Works Director Josh was recognized at the start of the meeting after the Utah chapter of the American Public Works Association named him public‑works director/employee of the year.
