Muhlenberg County Board of Education elects leadership, approves treasurer's report, meeting calendar and district improvement plan

The Muhlenberg County Board of Education elected Stephanie Rager as board chair and Logan Porter as vice chair, approved routine financial reports and payments, and set its 2025 regular meeting schedule at the board’s January 2025 meeting.

The board took the nominations and approved both leadership positions by voice vote after nominations were made; no recorded roll-call tally was given and no opposition was heard on the floor. Stephanie Rager was nominated for chair and elected by voice; Logan Porter was nominated and elected vice chair.

The board heard the treasurer’s report for the period ending Dec. 31, 2024. Treasurer Mr. Blessing reported a beginning balance of $29,855,000 and monthly receipts of $13,335,666, noting year-to-date variances from the prior year and describing revenue and expenditure categories.
