Superintendent Holly and staff also reported that the board and superintendent must meet annual continuing learning unit (CLU) requirements under Louisiana law and published the 2024 training hours for board members during the superintendent’s report.
The board received Budget Revision No. 1 for fiscal year 2025 as an informational item; staff walked trustees through changes in the general fund, ad valorem funds and other accounts. Staff noted several items that caused the revision, including reallocation for special programs, costs tied to school athletics trainers, software and technology purchases, and maintenance staffing now fully funded. The revision will be posted in the boardroom and sit for the statutory review period (15 days under recent law change) and will be voted on at the next meeting.
