Council to consider resolution dissolving old RDA properties at assessor's request

"The county assessor approached us and requested old properties that are no longer collecting tax increment financing," Dursen said, then listed the parcels under consideration: Burton, Edison, Post Office Place, Upper Mill Creek, Third East, Metro Center, amended South State, Madison, Third West, 201 South, and Westech Engineering.
Dursen characterized these as older RDA properties created in the 1980s that "have been dissolved for quite some time," and said the action is primarily a matter of record keeping. She said staff was available to answer questions and that the resolution would be returned to the council's regular meeting for formal action.
No substantive policy debate occurred during the work session on the merits of dissolving the listed parcels.
Because the council did not vote during the work session, the resolution remains pending until formal action in the regular meeting.
