Commissioner and staff responses clarified that the basketball-court project is an "in-kind replacement" and not an expansion, and that the design includes fencing to retain balls, landscaping and benches. "We wouldn't be expanding, but trying to do a lot of what you talked about of, you know, enclosing a fence of some sort to try and keep the balls on the court, and then it would be some landscaping and and benches and signs," a county director said.
County staff noted that public surveys and outreach materials are available on the county's Green Acres portal and encouraged residents to participate; no formal vote or grant award was recorded in the transcript excerpt.
