The City of Euless voted unanimously to authorize the mayor to negotiate and execute a Chapter 380 economic development agreement among the City of Euless, the City of Bedford and H‑E‑B Grocery Company to support construction of a grocery store at the Cheeksbarger and Rio Grande Boulevard site.
Staff said the three‑party agreement commits each city — Bedford and Euless — to reimburse up to $300,000 for infrastructure costs related to the project: Bedford’s reimbursement would fund a traffic signal and Euless’s reimbursement would support relocation of a water main. The agreement requires H‑E‑B to obtain a certificate of occupancy no later than Dec. 31, 2026 to be eligible for reimbursement.
City staff introduced the item and said John Rose, who represents H‑E‑B, was present. Council Member Price moved approval and Council Member Bynum seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
