District human-resources officials told the board the certified reductions represent roughly 1.1% of the district’s certified staff and came after the administration accounted for retirements and resignations. Human-resources staff had presented an earlier projection of 51.35 adjusted FTE, but administrators said attrition and other adjustments reduced the number on the final agenda.
Superintendent and HR staff framed the action as part of a larger staffing timeline the district set to notify impacted employees by early February.
