Skagit County Board of Health proclaims support for Population Health Trust after 10 years of collective-impact work

Representatives of Skagit County's Population Health Trust presented accomplishments at the Board of Health meeting on Feb. 11 and the board passed a proclamation recognizing the trust's 10-year anniversary and contributions to county public health.
Kristen (presenter) and trust members described the Population Health Trust as a collective-impact effort launched after a 2015 resolution to increase coordination of community health activities. Bill Henkel, executive director of Community Action in Skagit County, traced the Trust's origins to earlier local initiatives and credited the county for establishing backbone staffing that enabled multi-sector coordination across hospitals, public health, social services, funders and other partners.
