City planning staff informed the commission that construction of a planned Wawa store in Huber Heights is approximately four months behind schedule after the developer encountered rock during site work.
Aaron Sorel said the developer had been informed in advance that rock was present but appeared surprised by the quantity encountered. Sorel said the land developer is preparing to turn the site over to Wawa’s building company and that construction of the Wawa store is expected to start in February or March.
