Kootenai County commissioners approved routine minutes and payables and voted to approve a slate of airport grants and contracts, personnel actions and public-safety purchases during their Feb. 11, 2025 business meeting.
The board approved meeting minutes for agenda items 1–5 and the consent calendar (items 6–19). Commissioners also approved payables for February 2025 in the amount of $837,006.36 and jury panel payments totaling $925.13.
On airport business the board approved a Federal Aviation Administration grant application (AIP 63) and multiple airport work orders and agreements, including work order WO24-13 for preliminary design of Taxiway Alpha and an Avista Electric Service Agreement (No. 59142) tied to the Taxiway Charlie project. The board also approved state grant agreements F25ACOE and F25BCOE and several lease/ground-lease adjustments related to airport parcels.
Personnel and human-resources items approved included converting a temporary deputy director position to permanent, ratifying a residential appraiser position conversion in the assessor’s office, and approving higher-duty pay and a one-time bonus for cadastral mapping staff covering specified dates.
Public-safety items approved included an out-of-budget request not to exceed $10,000 from fund balance to replace backcountry UTV snow tracks, reassignment of the KCSO mobile command center to the fairgrounds with plans to seek grants for a replacement, and a resolution to delete a decommissioned LiveScan Plus fingerprinting system from the sheriff’s asset records.
All motions recorded in the meeting were approved by voice vote. The board adjourned at approximately 9:41 a.m.
