Planning commission approves Cross Creek Church replat at Colleyville Boulevard

The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6-0 to approve a replat that combines seven parcels owned by Cross Creek Church into a single lot along Colleyville Boulevard.

Staff presented the replat as a straight consolidation of seven individually platted lots into one parcel for the church campus at 5300 Colleyville Boulevard, 1007 Church Street and adjacent addresses. Chris [staff member] said the properties currently carry CC-1 zoning and that the request matches the city’s future land-use designation along the Colleyville Boulevard corridor. No letters of opposition were received and staff recommended approval.

Zach Towery, executive pastor of operations at Cross Creek Church (doing business as First Colleyville), told commissioners the consolidation is intended to simplify campus property lines following a recent rezoning. Towery said the church added the replat to a concurrent survey and “we’re just trying to get to one, just to make things a whole lot easier for us.”

Commissioners asked no substantive follow-up questions, and Jerry Savoy moved to approve case PC 25-002. Richard Remley seconded the motion. Commissioners David Ebert, Jerry Savoy, (Commissioner) Obinato, Richard Remley, Brandon Arnold and David Gross voted aye; one commissioner was absent. The motion passed 6-0.

The approval consolidates the seven existing lots into a single platted lot for the Cross Creek/First Colleyville campus; staff will record the replat consistent with the motion passed by the commission.
