The commission directed the sheriff's representative, the engineer and staff (including County Attorney Jason) to meet, draft clearer contract language and a procurement approach—potentially incorporating state bid pricing for certain items—and return with a proposed contract for commission approval.
Ending: Staff and designated officials will meet with the sheriff's appointee to negotiate contract terms, enforce documentation requirements and propose clarifying changes for the commission to approve at a later meeting.
