Tanya said the appropriations route could accelerate funding compared with a standard grant application process but noted that the USDA grant process remains an option if appropriations are not secured.
Commissioners asked county attorney Jason and staff to negotiate and clarify the scope and fees proposed by Wagner Engineering before proceeding with formal applications, and they requested that Tanya and staff move forward on filings once the commission authorized them.
