Council members discussed the amendment briefly at the meeting; Administrator Brown summarized that the amendment implements the council’s prior direction to permit the specified use of accommodations tax funds. The ordinance amendment was presented as a first reading and included in the budget packet.
When the council voted on the motion to adopt the amendment as part of the budget ordinance, the motion carried and the clerk recorded affirmative votes from the majority of councilmembers. The measure advances through the county’s ordinance process.
