The Glenn Heights City Council appointed Matthew Chaffin to the Citizens Police Advisory Committee (CPAC) by a 6-0 vote at its Feb. 7 meeting.
Interim Police Chief Chris Womack informed the council there was a vacancy on the commission. Councilmember Hale nominated Matthew Chaffin and the council approved the appointment without further nominations or objections.
Chaffin was described by council as an active resident who has attended meetings. Councilmembers Moseley, Harry Garrett, Hale, Lightfoot, Binford and Mayor Sonya A. Brown voted aye.
