Grayson County commissioners approve consent agenda, audit reports and payments including VAWA grant renewal and storm repairs

The Grayson County Commissioners Court approved its minutes, a consent agenda of routine items and authorized several payments during its Tuesday meeting.

The court approved minutes from the Jan. 28, 2025 meeting on a motion by Commissioner Marsh, seconded by Commissioner Hardenberg. The consent agenda included routine administrative items: acceptance of the county auditor's monthly report for December 2024; approval of a corrected Violence Against Women Act grant renewal for fiscal 2026 with an estimated grant amount of $36,974 and a county match estimated at $65,116; receipt of exit audit reports for multiple precinct offices; and the executed agreement with Mesotech International Incorporated for bid 2024-13 to provide an automated weather observation system.

The court also received certificates of completion from Commissioner Marr for the Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act and approved an amended resolution for a CGD grant for rifle-resistant body armor. Several right-of-way permits for Encore Electric along county roads were approved.

On bills, the court authorized payment of bills for Feb. 4, 2025; approved payment of $90,156.28 from the Health Department LPPF to the state comptroller for the Atlas program first-half fiscal 2025 payment; and authorized a payment of $168,304.30 to TR Construction Services LLC for storm damage repairs to multiple county buildings at NTRA. Commissioner Arthur moved to approve the payments; Commissioner Hardenberg seconded. The motions carried by voice vote.

All consent and payment items were approved without separate discussion, consistent with the court's routine consent procedure.
